Apple Mandates iOS 15 Minimum by Spring 2027, Kills iOS 12–14 Support

Today, a colleague triggered a warning when uploading a build for review (their minimum supported version was iOS 12.0).

In the second half of 2026, the minimum supported system version will be forced to iOS 13.0 and above. Starting from spring 2027, all iOS app uploads/reviews must support a minimum of iOS 15.0 and above.

I finally don't need to adapt for iOS 13 and iOS 14!

A few months ago, looking at the data, there were still a handful of users on iOS 13. iOS 14 still had quite a few users, especially domestically; slightly fewer overseas. So, I didn't feel comfortable proposing to the team that we raise the minimum system version to iOS 15.0. Now, I can do it openly and justifiably—this is Apple's directive, not mine.
